In “What’s captivating the internet” today, we are pleased to present to you, the Mountain Mauler. This little dude has been going for 58 days now which comes out to about 2,529 actual miles.
Next up is Susan Dell. She’s the wife of Michael Dell, whose White House appearance after donating $6.25 billion to Trump accounts set the internet ablaze because she looked less like a living person and more like a Spirit Halloween animatronic labeled “Billionaire Tech Wife.”

So what’s with the weird kid piggy bank thing? A reddit user here had their autistic AI explain it for our silly monkey brains.
Jeff Bezos showing up this week claiming AI could bring three-day workweeks and single-income households. In theory, productivity goes up, labor becomes less necessary, and people work less. In practice, most of us are hourly, rent still exists, gas still costs money, and eggs haven’t become free because a chatbot learned some spreadsheet formulas.
Speaking of robots, California is apparently trying to shut down robot-versus-human cage matches. Check out this footage of a dude fighting a humanoid robot that’s being piloted remotely by a person in VR, and the robot absolutely dumps him.
Speaking of California, Los Angeles has been turning into mosquito hell. Heat waves, humidity, El Niño conditions, and general environmental misery have helped make L.A. one of the most mosquito-infested cities in America.

Guess what season it still is and probably always will be? That’s right, it’s shooting season. First up is a DC man sentenced to 32 years for fatally shooting someone over a flag football game. The shooting happened back in 2021, but the sentencing hits now.
Next is the Fort Hood shooter execution story. Nidal Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist who killed 13 people and wounded 32 at Fort Hood, is reportedly set to be executed by firing squad, and there’s talk of making it publicly watchable.
Then comes Erie, Pennsylvania, where a family shooting left nine people dead, including the suspect, a pregnant woman, and children. Hey America, are we ok?
Finishing up the news we have a Raleigh man who allegedly extorted a woman by threatening to slap her if she didn’t give him money, then grabbed and pinched the responding officer’s genitals during the arrest, adding sexual battery to the situation.
